The Hobbit

by Rachel Schaffner

A hole in the ground lived a hobbit, that wanted to do nothing with the outside world. He lived in The Shire at Bag End. His name is Bilbo Baggins. He met a wizard named Gandalf the Gray. He befriended 13 dwarves: Dwalin, Balin, Fili, Kili, Bifur, Bofur, Bombur, Gloin, Oin, Nori, Dori, Ori, and Thorin

In The Hobbit by J.R.R Tolkien it’s about a shy hobbit going on an unexpected journey with 13 dwarves, a wizard, some elves, and other surprising things along the way. They travel across Middle-Earth to reach a mountain to reclaim Erebor.

“Would you like to share on an adventure?” Says Gandalf the Gray. The book was published on September 21, 1937. If you like adventures, fantasy, wizards, fictional characters, giant spiders, eagles, dragons and best of all BUTTERFLIES!

“If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.” -J.R.R Tolkien
