Buctober ends

Joel Hanrahan, Garrett Jonesby: Tyler Bryan

The last time the Pirates have made it to the postseason was in 1992. Manager Clint Hurdle believed the pirates had a chance of going all the way this year, so did  the rest of the Pirates baseball team. The club had hit the ball hard and they have been hot on the mound due to the shark tank. Unfortunately, they didn’t go all the way.

The 2013 postseason started off as a wild card game against the Reds for the Bucs. The Pirates beat the Reds 6-2. Russell Martin homered twice; Francisco Liriano pitched seven outstanding innings with five strikeouts and allows only four hits. Also, Marlon Byrd went deep. At the wildcard game the intimidating crowd mocked Johnny Cueto so intensely he bobbled the ball and dropped it while pitching.

’13 Bucs did fantastic this year. You’ll just have to see how they do in the 2014 season.
